º Kelley Law of New Westminster, BC defeats Sherry Anderson of Delisle, SK to win the women's Final of the Canadian Curling Trials. The Law team of third Julie Skinner, second Georgina Wheatcroft, lead Diane Nelson, alternate Cheryl Noble and coach Gene Friesen will now represent Canada at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Utah in February , when curling once again will be an official medal sport, as it was for the first time in 1998 in Nagano, Japan. º The Olympic Curling Competition will take place at The Ice Sheet in Ogden, Utah, from February 11-22. Ten Men's and ten women's teams will compete. |
